Do you use your hobby strategically as a stress reliever?

Do you use your hobby strategically as a stress reliever? I definitely do. For one thing, I find it de-stressing to retreat into a simpler world, where Optimus Prime needs to stop Megatron once again from robbing the world of it's energy, or Luke Skywalker needs to don a disguise to infiltrate an Imperial facility and rescue Han or Leia. I also find it relaxing to do something tactile with my hands. I spend a lot of time on the computer, tapping on keys and staring at screens. It's nice to work on a new custom, heating up figures, exchanging parts, and adding some finishing paint touches, or just opening a new figure and standing them up in their appropriate location in the collection. It's also incredibly nice to have something new to research, either on the online wikis or on eBay, jumping from one fandom to another... maybe even a brand-new one. Sometimes it's good to just escape from reality altogether. Toys have always been a manifestation of imagination. And we all know what happens when imagination faulters, right? That's when "The Nothing" comes!
