Okay, this one is entirely inspired by my December marathon of all things James Bond, beginning with Dr. No (1962) and ending with No Time to Die (2021). I recently packed up a large assortment of figures to create space in my collection for a range of custom 1:18 scale Bond figures, that hopefully one day will span the entire 00 universe, which I have gleefully been compiling with parts from Marauder Gun Runners, Boss Fight Studio, Fresh Monkey Fiction, Hasbro, and other various toy lines. But I wish we had gotten a line of good quality, official figures from someone in recent years. I know, I know, there's not a big market for it, but still... "what if" someone had released a line of 1:18 figures from the Daniel Craig era with modern vehicles and accessories, gotten everyone hooked on the spy genre again, and then slowly started rolling out figures from the classic era. Can you imagine a whole line of figures from Moonraker? GoldenEye? Goldfinger? With Kenner-style playsets, vehicles, and accessories? I can taste the nostalgia. I picked up the Playmobil Aston Martin a few weeks ago and love it. I'm holding out hope for Roger Moore's Lotus Esprit next. Sorry for the rant. Now back to my custom building!
