Welcome to Ice Planet Collectibles! This store has been a dream in the making for over 25 years. The overall concept is to offer vintage and modern -- packaged and loose -- toys, action figures, vehicles, playsets, comic books, board games, role play games, movie memorabilia, pop culture items and many other collectibles.

If this has been a dream for over 25 years, why is it just now happening? I've actually been buying, selling and trading at local toy shows, on eBay, and even on the old newsgroups on and off for over two decades. Many times though, the various seasons of our lives tend to take priority over our hobbies, passions and entrepreneurial pursuits.

So why the name "Ice Planet?" As a kid, growing up with many of the genres and fandoms that will be represented on this site over time, the cold-weather ice planets and other arctic locations were always some of my favorites. The ice planet Hoth, Ice Planet Zero from Battlestar Galactica, Ultima Thule from Space 1999, Iceworld from Doctor Who, Outpost 31 from The Thing, the Ice Kingdom of Mongo and many others. I think it also provides a clean and "cool" backdrop and theme for the site. And it has a nice ring to it as well. We'll see how well it works over time!
