This is a great question to ponder as we creep closer and closer to Halloween. I'm not even 100% sure I know what I mean by this question! The scariest toy I've ever *seen* would have to be the infamous clown from Poltergeist (1982). If I could own any one screen-used prop from a horror movie that would have to be the one. But in terms of scary toys I've owned... hm. When I was a kid, I had the Dragonne monster from the 1984 Advanced Dungeons & Dragons toy line from LJN. I had that figure on a shelf opposite my bed, and I remember something about the eyes and the shape of the head made it look like it was always looking at me, and late at night I would stare at it waiting for that head to turn. There were a few nights, thanks to shadows and tricks of the light I'm sure, I would swear I did see it move! In general it's a scary creature to behold... part lion and part dragon. I wish we had one for sale in the shop. In fact, I wish I still had one in my personal collection!
