It's a fair question, and one that we ask ourselves from time-to-time. We find ourselves, on multiple occasions, sorting, cleaning, researching, photographing, listing, and advertising items that we may end up offering for $2, $3, $4, etc. And it's a fair question... is it worth all of that work for just a few dollars? Sometimes the answer is no, usually if the item's condition is extremely poor. But most of the time we think it's worth it. Sometimes it's that small $1 piece that a collector really needs. Maybe to finish a project, maybe to add to a larger order, or maybe because it reminds them of a valued toy from their childhood. Looking at it from another perspective, it also grieves us to ever throw anything away. These small pieces of plastic are important. In some ways they're friends. In some ways they're a form of art. That's one reason we recently opened our new "Junk Dungeon" category. We were sorting through a large collection and finding all sorts of random, homeless pieces that went with vehicles or playsets that weren't included in the collection, or that were extra pieces or pieces we couldn't identify. We were asking ourselves, what do we do with all this stuff without junking up the main categories. Then it hit us to create a separate category of just random parts for repairs, replacements, custom projects, etc. We're still building up this category, but over the next year this will give us a nice catch-all page for cool miscellaneous stuff!
What's worth selling?
