Why are some accessories sold separately?

This is actually a pretty good question. You might see instances on the website where we're selling an accessory separate from the figure, vehicle, or playset that it originally came with. There are several possible explanations for this. The most common is probably that the items were simply checked into inventory at different times, perhaps even months or years apart. In a lot of cases we might weigh whether it makes sense to pull the partner item from our warehouse, put the items together, take new photography, and update the product page. In other cases, we might not even catch that we're adding an accessory to inventory that goes with something else that we already have on the site. Another possible explanation is that we might intentionally break down broken or incomplete sets further to offer the parts individually. Many collectors only need certain parts and pieces to complete their existing item, or want to slowly restore an item over time, one piece at a time. If an item or set is already incomplete or damaged, we might easily sell the parts separately to make the items more accessible to our customers. And a fourth possibility might be that we feel the accessories are good for customizing. There are quite a few collectors who modify, kitbash, and create new characters, vehicles, and playsets from miscellaneous parts and pieces. This is really where our Junk Dungeon comes in, to offer customizers "custom fodder" to work with, without having to buy complete sets in order to get the individual parts they want.
